Why this destination is a must-visit

Known as the “Island of Eternal Spring,” Tenerife is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands and a true paradise in the Atlantic. Its dramatic volcanic landscapes, golden and black-sand beaches, and mild climate all year round make it perfect for both couples seeking a relaxing escape and families looking for sunshine and adventure. Between world-class attractions, charming local towns, and breathtaking views, Tenerife promises a holiday that combines nature, culture, and unforgettable experiences.

Make sure you visit:

  • Teide National Park: A UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases otherworldly volcanic terrain and Spain’s highest peak, Mount Teide.
  • La Laguna: A beautifully preserved colonial town, full of colorful houses, lively markets, and local charm.
  • Santa Cruz de Tenerife: The capital city, blending modern culture, museums, shopping, and coastal promenades.
  • Los Gigantes Cliffs: Towering rock formations rising dramatically from the sea, best admired by boat.
  • Garachico: A coastal gem rebuilt after a volcanic eruption, famous for its natural lava pools and traditional atmosphere.

Beaches we think you’ll like:

  • Las Teresitas Beach: Golden sand and calm turquoise waters make this one of Tenerife’s most iconic beaches.
  • El Médano: A relaxed surf town with wide beaches, perfect wind conditions, and a laid-back vibe.
  • Playa del Duque: Refined and tranquil, ideal for couples who enjoy comfort and crystal-clear water.
  • Playa de Benijo: Wild and untamed, this black-sand beach offers incredible sunsets and dramatic scenery.
  • Playa de las Américas: The heart of Tenerife’s fun, full of energy, beach bars, and water sports.

Family-friendly activities:

  • Siam Park: A world-famous water park where thrilling rides meet tropical surroundings — great fun for all ages.
  • Loro Parque: An award-winning zoo and aquarium featuring exotic animals, dolphin shows, and lush gardens.
  • Whale and Dolphin Watching: Set sail from Costa Adeje to see these magnificent creatures in their natural environment.
  • Anaga Rural Park: A green wonderland with hiking trails through ancient laurel forests and stunning viewpoints.
  • Mount Teide Cable Car: A unique experience that takes you close to the summit of Spain’s highest volcano.

Make sure you try these local delicacies:

  • Papas arrugadas with mojo picón: Tenerife’s signature dish — small wrinkled potatoes with spicy red or green sauce.
  • Grilled vieja (parrotfish): A delicious local fish served fresh along the coast.
  • Gofio escaldado: A hearty Canarian recipe made from roasted grain flour and broth, rich in flavor and tradition.
  • Canarian cheese: Soft, slightly salty, and often served with local honey — a simple but perfect bite.
  • Wines from the Orotava Valley: Elegant volcanic wines, especially whites, that capture the essence of the island.

Make the most of your visit and go to ...

  • La Gomera Island: A short ferry ride away, this peaceful island offers breathtaking trails and a timeless atmosphere.
  • Masca Village: A hidden village nestled between green ravines, offering some of the island’s best views.
  • Anaga Mountains: Drive through misty forests and rugged cliffs, discovering some of Tenerife’s most beautiful landscapes.
  • Candelaria: A coastal town famous for its basilica and the impressive statues of the Guanche kings.
  • Puerto de la Cruz: A charming seaside town with natural swimming pools, vibrant streets, and excellent dining options.
