About the accommodation

Surrounded by nature and tranquility, you will find the Balneario de Alceda, a 3* hotel perfect for your holiday in Cantabria. It is located in the small town of Alceda, 30 km from the Natural Park of Cabárceno and 40 km from Santander.

The hotel has 24-hour reception, outdoor car park, restaurant and bar-cafeteria. Wifi connection is also available throughout the hotel!

In its cafeteria they serve a continental breakfast consisting of: a glass of juice, coffee, toast, some sausage, a piece of pastry and jam, butter or tomato spread. Perfect to start the day with energy! And, if you want, for a surcharge, you can complete it with more products.

Feel like relaxing? This is the perfect place, as you will find outdoor pools with thermal waters (flowing from a spring at 26º). One of them is covered, and even has jets and a swan neck. Note that they are not heated, but the experience of enjoying these waters while it is cold outside is indescribable, you have to try it!

On the other hand, there is the spa area: it is located in a nineteenth-century building, and will allow you to live the experience of a typical spa of yesteryear (the places where people went to take care of themselves and cure their illnesses). Its strong point, without a doubt, is the therapeutic capacity of its waters. You will see that these have a rather peculiar smell, is the result of its sulfurous composition, and is very typical of this type of water.

The hotel has 37 rooms equipped with television, wifi, desk, safe (under deposit) and private bathroom with shower or bathtub and hairdryer.

The hotel,excellent nice quiet location within walking distance of public transport rail and bus. ( I have mobility issues) accommodation high standard but for me the bath was an issue (no grab bars)room spaciousand airy.Staff very helpful excellent service. Meals well presented, excellent in variety .Public rooms clean and tidy particularly enjoyed the library.Public areas loved the tranquility and coolness of the lawns and the 2nd swimming pool. I would stay again.I have recommended this hotel to my friends

I wanted to check in 15 minutes after my booking. At the reception they could not see my booking. It was around 10 pm but the jump2spain helpdesk was available and talked to the reception so i could check in. Which was a really great service.
