About the accommodation

The Checkin Urban Nevada 3* is located in the town and municipality of Armilla, in the province of Granada. It is located 4 km from the center of the city of Granada.

The hotel is very functional and has 24-hour reception, air conditioning and heating (centralized and seasonal), Wi-Fi, indoor car park (for a fee) and a bar-cafeteria offering refreshments and hot drinks. Also during the summer season there is an outdoor swimming pool next to the bar terrace, great :-)

All rooms are fully equipped with Wi-Fi connection, TV, air conditioning or heating (depending on season) and bathroom with shower or bathtub, towels and shower gel and shampoo dispenser. There is no hairdryer in the rooms, but if you need it you can ask for it at reception.

We recommend visiting the city of Granada, specifically the famous Alhambra, the Generalife gardens and the Sacromonte area. Also, you can visit the famous Caves of Guadix or, if your passion is snow, this accommodation is just 40 minutes drive to the access to Pradollano, the only inhabited center of the ski resort of Sierra Nevada where you can find all the main services of the resort.

I could point out so many things that need improving, starting with the friendliness of the dark-skinned receptionist. Then there’s the appalling cleaning and the rooms, which are so small and badly laid out. My room, number 219, had a bathroom split into three sections. On the first night, a bug bit my daughter in the room and gave her nine welts, so I had to take her to A&E for an injection. The rooms are very dirty.

I don’t understand the bad reviews given what they charge, or what people have for breakfast if they’re complaining about the hotel’s offering, because it’s more than enough. The prices of drinks in the hotel café are the same as in any local café on the street… very cheap. There’s car park in the area, and the bus stop for getting anywhere in Granada is 2 minutes away… we’ll be back.

Having a shower inside the bedroom doesn’t make sense.
