Como persona con discapacidad y movilidad reducida, agradecí mucho disponer de una plaza de aparcamiento cubierta y reservada, ya que facilitó considerablemente nuestra estancia.
El ambiente dentro del hotel es confortable y relajado, con familias y parejas disfrutando de una tranquilidad muy agradable. En general, consideramos que algunas zonas necesitarían algo más de mantenimiento, aunque entendemos las circunstancias legales que rodean actualmente a la Isla de Valdecañas.
Nos gustó especialmente la zona de la piscina, muy acogedora, bien diseñada y perfecta para descansar. En conjunto, ha sido una experiencia muy positiva y recomendamos el hotel para pasar un fin de semana tranquilo en un entorno natural.
During our stay we had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The experience was pleasant, although we missed a stronger presence of Extremadura’s cuisine and local products.
We were particularly struck that the wine list did not offer a broader, more visible selection of Extremaduran wines, as the table was dominated mainly by references from Ribera del Duero and Rioja. We believe that an establishment located in Extremadura should help promote the region’s excellent wines, which would also help strengthen the area’s identity and tourist appeal.
Similarly, the menu included few typically Extremaduran dishes and, when something could be related to the regional cuisine, its origin was not clearly highlighted. The breakfast buffet also did not seem particularly focused on local produce. Some foods could be improved in quality and preparation; for example, the migas were too dry and the churros tasted frozen.
We think that incorporating more Extremaduran wines, products and recipes, and presenting them clearly on the menu, would greatly enrich guests’ experience and better showcase Extremadura’s gastronomy.
Durante nuestra estancia comimos y cenamos en el restaurante del hotel. La experiencia fue agradable, aunque echamos en falta una mayor presencia de la gastronomía y los productos propios de Extremadura.
Nos llamó especialmente la atención que la carta de vinos no ofreciera una selección más amplia y visible de vinos extremeños, ya que en mesa predominaban principalmente referencias de Ribera del Duero y Rioja. Consideramos que un establecimiento situado en Extremadura debería contribuir a promocionar los excelentes vinos de la región, algo que también ayudaría a reforzar la identidad y el atractivo turístico de la zona.
