During this 2-hour and 30-minute walking tour, you'll be accompanied by an expert local guide, who will reveal why Alfama is considered one of Lisbon's most charming districts. Traditional houses, the sound of fado and spectacular views over the Tagus River make this neighbourhood truly unforgettable.
Did you know that Alfama was one of the few areas that largely survived the devastating 1755 earthquake? That's why it still preserves its authentic atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience the true spirit of Lisbon.
The tour starts in Rossio and passes some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including Rossio Square, the National Theatre Dona Maria II, São Domingos Church, Figueira Square, São Jorge Castle, the Portas do Sol Viewpoint and Lisbon Cathedral (Sé).
