The Cíes Islands and Ons Island are part of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia Maritime-Terrestrial National Park, a protected natural paradise where you can enjoy idyllic beaches, scenic hiking trails, breathtaking viewpoints, iconic lighthouses and an incredible variety of wildlife and flora.
During the booking process, you'll be able to choose which island you'd like to visit and enjoy a same-day return boat trip.
What do you need to know?
Once your booking has been confirmed, we'll send you a form where you'll need to provide the personal details of all travellers, together with your preferred date and departure time for the boat trip.
Using this information, we'll arrange:
- Your boat tickets.
- Your access permit issued by the Xunta de Galicia, which is mandatory to visit either island.
You'll receive all your travel documentation by email approximately 72 hours before the start of your trip.
Important information
- The excursion includes a same-day return boat trip.
- Transport to the departure port is not included, so you'll need to make your own way there. Your travel documents will include the departure port and the exact boarding address.
- As this is a protected natural area, daily visitor numbers are limited and prior authorisation is required.
- Boat departures may be changed or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or maritime safety reasons.
- Some walking routes include uneven terrain and dirt paths, so accessibility may be limited.
Pets
Both the Cíes Islands and Ons Island are protected natural areas, therefore pets are not allowed. Please note that your pet will not be able to accompany you during your visit.

The most important beaches to see in Moaña are, perhaps, Playa da Xunqueira and Playa de Meira. Neighboring each other, they are two large sandy areas that make up an urban beach and are covered when the tide is high.
