5 Daniel Travelled with couple August 2024 The subway is 1 minute away and the staff is friendly.
We booked this hotel thinking that if it was 4 stars and we do not understand where those stars come from because in the rooms the beds are 2 mattresses (a mattress on top of another) pillows are 2 cushions that seem full of feathers, the refrigerator door is fallen and in the shower there is no door which makes all the water out and it looks like a pool apart from our plant there was no light. I do not recommend the half board as it is not buffet and consists of 2 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts and you have to choose one of each, so if you do not like any option you have to ask to change it, (which they do not care). On the days we have eaten there is no taste in the food (we have eaten cod, secret, steak and hake and it did not taste like anything so we think it is frozen). Don't order the cod with potatoes because they put cod that doesn't taste like anything, the potatoes were stale and from a bag. It was a scrambled eggs that only tasted like onions. The breakfast buffet is not worth it either as there are only 4 things and the only decent thing is the croissant.

9.7 Lidia Travelled with family August 2024 The hotel is close to Porto, the cruise is great and the wine tasting if you like wine is very good although it has a very hard slope to walk to. I would repeat the trip
The hotel receptionists did not make themselves understood and were a bit rude. The hotel waiters were very nice and always willing to help you. It would be nice if they would warn you that you have to pay the tourist tax (2€ per person per night).

3.9 Edurne Travelled with family July 2024 The subway stop was nearby
La parada de metro estaba cercana
Rooms not cleaned (or sheets changed) locks that did not open or remained open. We were given separate rooms even though the hotel was half empty. The hotel was under construction and we woke up to the noise of construction. We were told to write to the manager (we did) and have had no response. This is the email we wrote to the manager: My name is Edurne Lafuente, I had made a reservation with you through "buscounchollo.com/en" and I am going to tell you about our bad experience in your hotel, as recommended by the girl at the reception desk on July 29th. That girl at the reception was attentive and understood our anger at our departure. Bad in CLEANING, bad in SECURITY and bad in REST. I explain: day 27 we arrived around 13h and the rooms were not ready (I understand because the checkin was at 15h), so we went to Oporto to spend the day, but we said at reception that we would arrive late and that we wanted rooms together. We arrived around 00:30h and they gave us 704 and 705...one of the rooms was unmade (dirty, towels thrown away, sheets unchanged....) We have pictures to prove it. We went down to reception, showed the photos, so that they could fix it and a blond guy who spoke Spanish told us that it was impossible to clean at that time and gave us 2 separate rooms 801 and 810 VERY SEPARATE. We were with 2 very tired girls and this conditioned us in a negative way and we lost about an hour of our rest (worse for the girls). Day 28 we had breakfast (correct breakfast) and went sightseeing again. We returned around 01:00 and one of the rooms was open (810) and the other did not open (801) with the card, so we had to go back down to reception to activate the card..... the 810 did not open either, but we could enter because the door was open (had not made "click" in the lock) In the room had not stolen anything, but it caused us nervousness. On the 29th we woke up around 9:00 a.m. to the noise of construction work (when we made the reservation we were not told that there was construction work going on), so once again our rest and that of our young daughters was disturbed. We had breakfast and left, explaining at reception our anger with the Hotel Premium Porto Maia (that day, the girl was attentive and apologized to us, although late). With everything explained, I think I make it very clear that our experience at Hotel Porto Maia, has been VERY BAD in CLEANLINESS, VERY BAD in SAFETY and VERY BAD in REST. In addition they have not had the slightest detail with us, despite doing so badly in the 2 nights we have been there. I doubt we will return there, we will explain all these problems to "buscounchollo.com/en" to let them know and I hope this complaint will help them to improve. Best regards.

Little variety in the breakfast, and it would also be good to warn in advance about the payment of the town hall tax which is 2 euros per person per night.

9.3 Angel April 2024 Cleanliness, rooms, staff. What most distorts the great hotel that it is, is the scarce breakfast buffet it has. Even if it is of quality. It is not understood. It is an invitation to go out for breakfast.
