Designed in the 1970s in the style of an Andalusian fishing village but elevated to the height of luxury, it’s the ideal place to see and be seen.
What you can’t miss:
- The Main Pier: The harbor’s main promenade. It’s a veritable open-air museum of motors and boating. You’ll see some of the world’s most expensive megayachts moored alongside an endless row of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Rolls-Royces.
- The “Golden Mile” of shopping: The waterfront promenade is home to the highest concentration of high-end fashion boutiques per square meter in Spain. From Louis Vuitton and Gucci to Dior and Hermès, the storefronts are pure art (and the prices are jaw-dropping).
- The Rhinoceros Statue: An imposing three-metric-ton bronze sculpture designed by Salvador Dalí (Rhinoceros Dressed in Lace) that welcomes visitors at one of the harbor’s entrances. A must-see photo opportunity.
- Beaches with a Great Atmosphere: You’ll find excellent beaches on both sides of the harbor. Levante Beach (Puerto Banús) has calm, family-friendly waters, while further west lie the coast’s most exclusive beach clubs, featuring live music and Balinese beds. Our recommendation: If you want to have dinner or grab a drink without paying the “luxury tax” of the harbor’s first line, walk toward the second or third line of streets (toward Plaza Antonio Banderas). You’ll find excellent pizzerias, tapas bars, and cafés at much more down-to-earth prices.
