That staff ensure guests follow the hotel rules and respect other customers, and I would renovate and modernise it to reach four-star standard — as it is now it’s much too low; to me it feels more like a three-star.

One thing to note from our stay was that there were some Italian school holidays and they caused a lot of disturbance in the grounds and in the pool, playing ball, throwing themselves around, and the signs stated that this was not allowed. We did not see any staff enforcing the rules to ensure compliance, which is a drawback in my view due to the lack of control to uphold the regulations.
