Palau Green Village

 

It is located in Palau, a town in the north of the island of Sardinia, on the famous Emerald Coast, in Italy. Right in front of the town you will find the beautiful Magdalena archipelago, being protected as a National Park.

 

The complex has a reception open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., air conditioning at the reception, laundry service, garden, children's playground, shared barbecue, Wi-Fi zone, rental of bicycles, aquuagym, free outdoor parking and swimming pool for the summer season.

 

The distribution of the apartments is as follows:

  • 1 bedroom apartment for 4 people: They consist of a room with a double bed and a living room with a double sofa bed. It has air conditioning, television, free Wi-Fi, full kitchen with crockery, cutlery, microwave, there is also an iron and board and bathroom with shower.

Fabulous 9.3 Virginia Eugenia Travelled with family June 2024 The beaches are very beautiful. We stayed in the northwest area: Palau, Isola Maddalena, Santa Teresa di Gallura. We took the boat holiday to the Maddalena Islands, Spargi, etc. (€50 per person). There are quite a few supermarkets and prices are reasonable, similar to Spain. There is car park at all the beaches, but most are paid — €1 or €2 per hour. Accommodation was 250 m from the beach (dog-friendly), a 10-minute walk from the harbour and the supermarket a 5-minute drive. The accommodation staff were very friendly and helpful. There was still a lot left to see, we will surely go again!
Las playas son muy bonitas, nosotros estuvimos en la zona Noroeste , Palau, Isla Madalena, Santa Teresa de Gallura. Hicimos la visita en barco a las Islas Madalena, Spargi, etc...(50€ x persona). Hay bastantes supermercados y bien de precio, igual que en España. Parking en todas las playas, pero casi todas de pago, 1€ o 2€ hora. Alojamiento a 250 m de la playa (apta para perros), a 10' caminando del puerto y el super a 5' en coche. El personal del alojamiento muy amable y servicial. Nos quedó mucho por ver, seguramente repetiremos!
Ferry: the holiday feels very long — outbound BCN-Porto Torres, the cabins were very dirty, staff were quite bad-tempered; on the return there was a breakdown and we arrived in BCN 17 hours late, plus a further 2 hours’ drive to the accommodation. Sardinian roads are quite torn up and unmarked. I would have liked the listing to state that this charge was per person per day: "Travelling from 15/06 to 13/09? Then there is a cost of €10 per adult and €5 per child (3 to 12 years)". When I arrived at the accommodation I had to pay €240 for this charge. They could also include the price of the taxes in the listing (even as an estimate); I had to pay another €72 separately in taxes (4 people, 6 nights). In short, when I reached reception after nearly a day of travelling I was stunned to have to pay €312 for these charges. We travelled as a family, 2 adults + 2 children. Check the listing carefully, and if you have any doubts ask before booking, so it doesn’t happen to you like it did to me!

Las carreteras de Cerdeña bastante rotas y sin pintar. Me hubiera gustado que en el anuncio hubieran aclarado que este gasto era por persona y día, "¿Viajas del 15/06 al 13/09? Entonces tienen un coste de 10€ por adulto y 5€ por niños (de 3 a 12 años)", cuando llegué al alojamiento, tuve que pagar 240 € por este concepto. También podrían agregar el precio de las tasas en el anuncio (aunque sea orientativo), tuve que pagar otros 72€ aparte en concepto de tasas (4 personas, 6 noches). En resumen, cuando llegué a recepción después de casi 1 día de viaje, me quedé a cuadros cuando tuve que pagar 312€ por estos conceptos. Viajamos en familia, 2 adultos + 2 niños. Revisar bien el anuncio, y si tenéis dudas, preguntar antes de reservar, así no les pasa como a mí!

It's hard to understand being charged an extra for water and electricity as soon as you arrive — it's assumed a hotel can't operate without utilities, so logically the room/person price should include everything. Comfort and rest are essential and weren't delivered here: the beds and mattresses are poor quality, worn out and old. As a guest you feel powerless and there's no remedy for that.

El personal del alojamiento tuvo un gran detalle con todos los huéspedes ya que debido a inoperancia del Grimaldi Lines el ferry se retrasó varias horas. Dijeron que era debido al clima pero a la vuelta también se volvió a retrasar e hizo un tiempo estupendo. El caso es que todos llegamos al check on varias horas más tarde, eran las 23 h y se formó cola para hacer los papeles. Desde el establecimiento no se nos cobró nada ni se nos echó nada en cara por llegar varias horas tarde (tal vez ya saben cómo se las gastan los de Grimaldi ). Las habitaciones están bien, se nos saltó la luz pero lo arreglaron pronto. Al salir sí que me llamó la atención que te hacen una revisión del apartamento para devolverte la fianza. Sin duda repetiría en el lugar (no así en el medio de transporte)

When the hotel told me my booking had been cancelled, you were so helpful and did everything you could to reassure me and worked with the hotel to straighten out the issue.
