Hotel Playamaro ***

It is located in the district of Maro, in the municipality of Nerja, located about 50km from Malaga, at the gates of the natural area of Maro-Cerro Gordo and just a few meters from the famous Cave of Nerja, in a natural setting between the Sierra Tejeda and the Costa del Sol Oriental.

The hotel has heating and air conditioning, pizzeria restaurant offering a varied menu for all tastes and budgets, cafeteria, garden, a nice terrace in the style of Andalusian patio and free wifi in public areas.

It has a total of 36 rooms, all equipped with air conditioning and individual heating, television, telephone, safe (for a fee), free wifi and bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer.

Near the hotel you will find a bus stop that will allow you to easily reach the city center of Nerja. Approximately 800 meters from the hotel you will find the wonderful beaches and cliffs of this natural area.

8.6 Mariangeles Travelled with couple July 2024 To go to the beach there is a bus going around until eight o'clock in the evening and it costs 1.50 round trip and super fast, as for the hotel staff great.

The room was another building in front of the hotel, a first floor without terrace we could not hang the bathing suits or towels and the strong smell of damp was unbearable, bad breakfast they did not even put bread they gave it to you in dribs and drabs, they put you in a dark room having a terrace that could only be used by those who had not taken pension, in short a disaster.

 5.6 Jose June 2024 The nearest beach has a bus that runs every 15 minutes, it is quite comfortable and only costs 1.5. It is easy to park in the parking lot near the hotel if you arrive very early or very late, from 12 to 20:00 it is likely to be full on weekends. The woman at the check-in was very nice.
La playa más cercana tiene un autobús que pasa cada 15 minutos, es bastante cómodo y solo vale 1.5. Es fácil aparcar en el parking cercano al hotel si llegas muy temprano o muy tarde, de 12 a 20:00 es probable que esté lleno los fines de semana. La mujer del check-in muy simpática.
The bathroom in the room was dirty. The toilet lid had drops of urine and the bowl had the typical "skid". And that had the seal that usually put in hotels to the toilet when it has been cleaned, plus the sink had traces of toothpaste, so I think the bathroom had not even cleaned. The breakfast has little variety, toast, industrial pastries and cold meats, the coffee is from a vending machine and is not a wonder. The door of the room fails a lot, there are times that you put the code correctly and it does not open. In conclusion, it does not look like a 3 star hotel by far, at least the building where we stayed, the main building may be better. It is possible that instead of a standard double they gave us an economy double.
El baño de la habitación estaba sucio. La tapadera del váter tenía gotas de orina y la taza el típico "derrape". Y eso que tenía el precinto que suelen poner en los hoteles al váter cuando lo han limpiado, además el lavabo tenía restos de pasta de dientes, por lo que creo que el baño ni lo habían limpiado. El desayuno tiene poca variedad, tostadas bollería industrial y embutidos, el café es de máquina expendedora y no es una maravilla. La puerta de la habitación falla mucho, hay veces que pones el código correctamente y no abre. En conclusión, no parece un hotel de 3 estrellas ni de lejos, al menos el edificio en el que nos alojaron a nosotros, el edificio principal puede que sea mejor. Es posible que en vez de una doble estándar nos dieran una doble económica.
