The Hotel Meliá Benidorm 4* is located in Rincón de L'Oix, one of the quietest areas of the city of Benidorm and 900 metres from the Levante beach.

8 José Matias Travelled with couple January 2026 The hotel, the attention and the service I received were very good, just as you expect from a chain like Meliá Hotels.

Watch out for minibar charges. They ask for your credit card when you check in to the hotel and when you leave two days later they charge you for minibar items you didn't consume — €4 (I don't know if this is common practice since it's such a small amount). They say it's from a company external to the hotel, but they post and charge it themselves. I called and was told it was for a packet of peanuts, even though I had said I hadn't consumed anything. In short, I said that if they could charge me €4, they could just as easily have charged €40 or whatever they fancied, because I'm left powerless between my word and theirs. I don't really mind since it's only four euros, but that's the point — and the worst part is wondering whether this is a regular practice.

When the hotel told me my booking had been cancelled, you were so helpful and did everything you could to reassure me and worked with the hotel to straighten out the issue.
