At the hotel reception there is no air conditioning; you go in and you’re better off outside than inside. What a pity, it has nothing to do with Salamanca. We’ve asked for a fan to get a bit of cool air and they tell us there isn’t one today; we’re going to be uncomfortable. And we want to go to A&E because my wife feels unwell and they don’t have a note showing the emergency services to go to. You mention it at reception and they tell you to sort it out yourself; thank goodness it’s nearby (but that isn’t a good way to learn when someone is unwell with heat and in an unfamiliar place). The air conditioning isn’t working in the heatwave; we’re roasting and they can’t fix it until Monday because it’s centralised, but Monday came and they didn’t fix anything. They don’t give us a card to enter the room because it doesn’t work and they have to open it for us. Among the worst I’ve ever seen. The reception is terrible because they use the same person to do the reception and the café service, and you have to wait for them to finish serving beers or guiding people to rooms because the cards aren’t working, and you end up waiting a long time before you’re attended to.

Lo dices en recepción y te indican buscate la vida, menos mal que está aquí al lado (pero no son modos de enterarte cuando una persona se encuentra mal con sofocos y en un sitio desconocido) No funciona el aire acondicionado en la ola de calor nos estamos asando y no saben arreglarlo hasta el lunes porque lo tienen centralizado, pero llegó el lunes y no arreglan nada. No nos dan tarjeta para poder entrar a la habitación porque dice que no funciona y nos tienen que abrir ellos. De lo peor que he visto nunca. La recepción es pésima por qué utilizan la misma persona para hacer la recepción y el servicio de cafetería y tienes que estar esperando a que terminen de servir las cervezas o acompañar a unas personas a las habitaciones porque no funcionan las tarjetas y te quedas esperando mucho tiempo hasta que te puedan atender

The hotel,excellent nice quiet location within walking distance of public transport rail and bus. ( I have mobility issues) accommodation high standard but for me the bath was an issue (no grab bars)room spaciousand airy.Staff very helpful excellent service. Meals well presented, excellent in variety .Public rooms clean and tidy particularly enjoyed the library.Public areas loved the tranquility and coolness of the lawns and the 2nd swimming pool. I would stay again.I have recommended this hotel to my friends
