En general, consideramos que algunas zonas necesitarían algo más de mantenimiento, aunque entendemos las circunstancias legales que rodean actualmente a la Isla de Valdecañas. Nos gustó especialmente la zona de la piscina, muy acogedora, bien diseñada y perfecta para descansar. En conjunto, ha sido una experiencia muy positiva y recomendamos el hotel para pasar un fin de semana tranquilo en un entorno natural.

During our stay we had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The experience was pleasant, although we missed a stronger presence of Extremadura’s cuisine and local products. We were particularly struck that the wine list did not offer a broader, more visible selection of Extremaduran wines, as the table was dominated mainly by references from Ribera del Duero and Rioja. We believe that an establishment located in Extremadura should help promote the region’s excellent wines, which would also help strengthen the area’s identity and tourist appeal. Similarly, the menu included few typically Extremaduran dishes and, when something could be related to the regional cuisine, its origin was not clearly highlighted. The breakfast buffet also did not seem particularly focused on local produce.
