About the accommodation

The Gran Hotel Del Coto 4 * is located in a unique setting, next to the Doñana National Park on the beach of Matalascañas. About 3 km from the center of Matalascañas.

The hotel has 24 hour reception, free wifi, fitness area, outdoor car park for a fee, outdoor pool for the summer season, restaurant, gym and boutique. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool that has been closed for some seasons, but they enabled a new semi-Olympic pool for the use of customers :)

In addition, you will also have a spectacular 360º rooftop terrace, called El Quinto Cielo, from where you can enjoy the most incredible sunsets of both Doñana and the Atlantic.

The accommodation has a total of 466 rooms that are characterized by modern equipment. The rooms offer TV, telephone, safe, air conditioning and heating, minibar, free wifi and bathroom with shower or bathtub.

THE RUINOUS VACATIONS To begin to write about what happened at the hotel, we have to use ink. To start a vacation, enter the room and find, broken lock, unmade bed, lamp dirty and not working, refrigerator in cabinet that does not fit, the door can not be closed and most importantly "mattresses to throw away," the rest we were looking for, we did not find it The children's dining area is no longer operational. Within 2 hours of arriving at the hotel we were already looking forward to the end of our vacation. The next day we were moved to another room, thinking that this would improve, but what was our surprise; we were in another room with different problems (although the mattresses even worse) We attach graphic material of what happened. The final straw was the penultimate day of our stay, when the hotel was with little occupancy, they put a person next to us, who was dedicated to move the beds, put the TV and talk loudly in the wee hours of the morning. I just want to finish with a word of thanks to the dining room staff, who have been charming. As for the rest, we have been staying at this hotel for almost two decades and we will never come back.
LAS VACACIONES RUINOSAS Para empezar a redactar lo sucedido en el hotel, hay que tirar de tinta. Comenzar unas vacaciones, entrar en la habitación y encontrarnos, cerradura rota, la cama sin hacer, la lámpara sucia y sin funcionar, nevera en mueble que no cabe, la puerta no se puede cerrar y lo más importante “ colchones para tirar, “ el descanso que buscábamos, no lo encontramos La zona de comida de niños ya no está operativa. A las 2 horas de llegar al hotel ya estábamos deseando de acabar las vacaciones. Al día siguiente nos cambiaron de habitación, pensando que esto mejoraría, pero cual fue nuestra sorpresa; estábamos en otra habitación con problemas diferentes ( aunque los colchones aún peor) Adjuntamos material gráfico de lo sucedido. La puntilla fue el penúltimo día de estancia, cuando el hotel estaba con poca ocupación, nos colocan al lado una persona, que se dedicaba a mover la camas, poner la tele y hablar en voz altas horas de la madrugada. Solamente quiero acabar con unas palabras de agradecimiento al personal de comedor, que han sido encantadores. Por lo demás, casi dos décadas veraneando en este hotel y no volveremos nunca más.

The rooms are fine, but the furniture, due to the passage of time, looks very deteriorated. For a four-star hotel, I was surprised by the lack of details in the bathroom area and the lack of activities for children under five years of age, limited only to a kind of nursery.

 8.3 Andrea Travelled with family July 2024 We were scared by some reviews and in general we have been very well in this hotel. The staff was very close, friendly and helpful. To highlight a waiter in the restaurant: Juanma, who showed great closeness to the guests. We need more professionals like this! Although it is true that all the staff was attentive and helpful. The buffet although there was not much variety was all very good, homemade desserts. I would suggest the specialty dinners that some nights were given, but not all of them. The animation was quite good, with miniclubs from 1 year very valuable and the evening entertainment for adults also quite good. The location, although it is a little out of the area of environment (Guerrero beach 20 min walk), the beach is amazing, with direct walkway from the hotel, totally unspoiled Doñana Park. We were almost alone in July Very good to go with children.
Fuimos asustados por algunas opiniones y a rasgos generales hemos estado muy bien en este hotel. El personal muy cercano, amable y servicial. A destacar un camarero del restaurante: Juanma, que mostraba gran cercanía con los huéspedes. Más profesionales así hacen falta! Aunque es verdad todo el personal se mostró atento y servicial. El buffet aunque no había muchísima variedad estaba todo muy bueno, postres caseros. Propondría las cenas de especialidades que alguna noche se dió, pero no todas. La animación bastante bien, con miniclubs desde 1 año muy a valorar y, la animación nocturna para adultos también bastante bien. La ubicación, aunque está un poquito apartado de zona de ambiente (playa Guerrero a 20 min caminando), la playa es una pasada, con pasarela directa desde el hotel, totalmente virgen del Parque de Doñana. Estábamos casi solos en julio Muy bien para ir con niños.

El check in del primer día, largas colas para entrar y tardaron en preparar la habitación bastante. Deberían estar listas a partir de las 2 según hora de entrada. La piscina que tienen cerradas da una mala imagen, es una piscina increíble y tener esa zona cerrada, así como los jardines hace que parezca descuidado. Ganaría mucho si lo tuvieran abierto.
