The Hotel Baia Cristal 4* is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Algarve, in Portugal, on a cliff, offering a quiet and familiar atmosphere with fantastic views of the sea.

5.7 Maria Cristina Travelled with  friends October 2022 The hotel is very well located, close to the beach and not too far from the town. Area of the most beautiful environment. Quiet and easily accessible. The common areas, well maintained. Acceptable spa, without time limits or time control. The bathroom in the room is great. The room where I stayed had a great terrace. friendly staff.
El hotel está muy bien ubicado, cerca de la playa y no demasiado lejos del pueblo. Zona de las más bonitas del entorno. Tranquilo y de fácil acceso. Las zonas comunes, bien cuidadas. Spa aceptable, sin límites de tiempo ni control de hora. El baño de la habitación estupendo. La habitación donde me alojé tenía una terraza estupenda. Personal amable.
The musty and stale smell of the room is somewhat unbearable. Outdated and quite deteriorated furniture. It urgently needs a renovation of everything. Spring mattress (of the old ones). Main car park with very limited spaces (it is almost impossible to put the cars in the marks that indicate the spaces). Simple, repetitive buffet, and little variety of dishes, although what was there was good. The spa has services that do not work.
El olor a humedad y rancio de la habitación en cierto modo se hace insoportable. Mobiliario anticuado y bastante deteriorado. Necesita urgentemente una renovación de todo. Colchón de muelles (de los antiguos). Aparcamiento principal con plazas justísimas (casi es imposible meter los coches en las marcas que indican las plazas). Buffet sencillo, repetitivo, y poca variedad de platos, aunque lo que había estaba bueno. El spa tiene servicios que no funcionan.

The room we stayed in was very damp, had cobwebs, the shower tray was very slippery. The sofa in the room had a lot of stains. It was very disgusting. There were ants everywhere, no hairdryer, no sockets in the bathroom ..... The reception staff, quite rude. They told us that we had taken a bargain and for what we paid. The truth is that the hotel does not look like a 4 star hotel, the breakfast left much to be desired. The English are fooled but we were not.
La habitacion que nos d'ironia era muy humedad, tenia telarañas , el plato de ducha resbalaba una barbaridad. El sofà que habia en ça habitacion tenia muchas manchas. Daba bastante asquito. Habia hormigas por todos los lados, no habia secador, ni enchufes en el baño.....El personal de recepcion, bastante borde. Nos digeron que habiamos cogido un chollo y para lo que pagabamos. La verdad es que el hotel, no parece de 4 estrellas, el desayuno dejaba mucho que desear. A los ingleses los engañan pero a nosotros no.

Overall it was clean but there were ants in the apartment. This should not happen, especially not in a 4* hotel. The parking spaces are very small The spa was closed for the 4 days we were there.
En general estaba limpio pero aparecían hormigas por el apartamento. Esto no debería de ocurrir y menos en un hotel de 4* Las plazas de parking son muy pequeñas El spa estuvo cerrado los 4 días que estuvimos
