Heel gehorige kamers (kamer met tussendeur). Heel erg druk omwille van jeugdgroepen die doorheen het hele hotel ongecontroleerd hun gang gingen en vooral in het restaurant enorm veel lawaai en chaos veroorzaakten. Restaurant erg ongezellig... 'refter' zou een betere omschrijving zijn.

A month earlier we were about to cancel the booking because we had read that the food was awful, that they charged you for changing towels, etc. The food was ordinary, like in any other 4-star hotel: there’s a salad section, then a selection of cheeses, then 3-4 hot dishes, a pasta/rice section and the grill. Could there be a little more variety? Yes, as in all hotels. The rooms are large (we were four people) and cleaned daily. The entertainment is excellent; they run activities for both children and adults. (One detail: children who take part in activities and don’t win any award still receive a diploma on the last day, which makes them very excited.) The pools are very clean and the water Water Slides are wonderful — we had a great time with our little ones (2 and 6 years old). We all went down together. We will definitely return in the future. The beach is a 3-minute walk away. There is car park (check rates at reception) on site, but right opposite the hotel there is a very large area where you can park for free. The chiringuito staff are very friendly.

Un mes antes estabamos a punto de cancelar la reserva porque habiamos leido que la comida fatal, que te cobra por cambiar las toallas etc etc. La comida ha sido normal, como en cualquier otro hotel de 4 estrellas , tienes la parte de ensalada, lluego variedades de quesos, lluego 3-4 comidas cocidas, la parte de pasta/arroz y lluego la plancha. Podria haber un poquito mas de variedad? Si, como en todos los hoteles. Las habitaciones grandes (estuvimos 4 personas), hacia limpieza a diario. La Animacion de 10, hacen actividades tanto para los niños y adultos. (Un detalle, los niños que participa en las actividades y no gana ningun Diploma, el ultimo dia Si o Si le dan un Diploma, que para los niños le hace mucha ilusion) Las piscinas muy limpias, y los toboganes de maravilla, lo pasamos muy bien junto a nuestras peques (2 años y 6 años) . Nos tiramos todos juntos. Seguro que en el futuro volveremos. La playa esta a 3 minutos andando, tienes parking de pago dentro pero justo en frente del hotel hay un tereno muy muy grande donde se aparca sin coste. El personal de los chiringuitos muy amable.

The Hotel Alegria Cabo de Gata 4* is located in Retamar, in the province of Almeria, 17 km from the city of Almeria and just over 600 metres from the nearest beach.

The accommodation has 24 hour reception, air conditioning and heating (depending on the season), free wifi, bar-cafeteria service and buffet restaurant where they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

They have a swimming pool ideal for both children and adults :-) In addition, you can relax on the garden terrace with sun loungers.

Heel gehorige kamers (kamer met tussendeur). Heel erg druk omwille van jeugdgroepen die doorheen het hele hotel ongecontroleerd hun gang gingen en vooral in het restaurant enorm veel lawaai en chaos veroorzaakten. Restaurant erg ongezellig... 'refter' zou een betere omschrijving zijn.

(One detail: children who take part in activities and don’t win any award still receive a diploma on the last day, which makes them very excited.) The pools are very clean and the water Water Slides are wonderful — we had a great time with our little ones (2 and 6 years old). We all went down together. We will definitely return in the future. The beach is a 3-minute walk away. There is car park (check rates at reception) on site, but right opposite the hotel there is a very large area where you can park for free. The chiringuito staff are very friendly.

Un mes antes estabamos a punto de cancelar la reserva porque habiamos leido que la comida fatal, que te cobra por cambiar las toallas etc etc. La comida ha sido normal, como en cualquier otro hotel de 4 estrellas , tienes la parte de ensalada, lluego variedades de quesos, lluego 3-4 comidas cocidas, la parte de pasta/arroz y lluego la plancha. Podria haber un poquito mas de variedad? Si, como en todos los hoteles. Las habitaciones grandes (estuvimos 4 personas), hacia limpieza a diario. La Animacion de 10, hacen actividades tanto para los niños y adultos. (Un detalle, los niños que participa en las actividades y no gana ningun Diploma, el ultimo dia Si o Si le dan un Diploma, que para los niños le hace mucha ilusion) Las piscinas muy limpias, y los toboganes de maravilla, lo pasamos muy bien junto a nuestras peques (2 años y 6 años) . Nos tiramos todos juntos. Seguro que en el futuro volveremos. La playa esta a 3 minutos andando, tienes parking de pago dentro pero justo en frente del hotel hay un tereno muy muy grande donde se aparca sin coste. El personal de los chiringuitos muy amable.
