- The Lighthouse: more than a guide for ships
The Calella Lighthouse is the city’s most iconic landmark. It was inaugurated in 1859 and its light originally ran on olive oil. Today it is still active, but it also houses an interpretation centre where visitors can discover how optical communications once worked along the coast.
- Why are locals called “Llops” (Wolves)?
The people of Calella are affectionately known as llops (wolves). According to local legend, many years ago a very large, shaggy dog frightened the townspeople, who believed it was a wolf. After gathering the courage to hunt it down, they discovered it was simply a lost dog. The nickname stayed forever as a playful local joke.
- A refuge from the Civil War
Beneath Dalmau Park lies the Dalmau Park Air-Raid Shelter, built by local residents in 1937 to protect themselves from bombings during the Spanish Civil War. It is one of the best-preserved shelters in the area and can be visited today, offering a powerful glimpse into the city’s living history.

Too many badly behaved children.

The hotel is clean and food is nice and always enough and fresh. Staff is very nice but the director is not.
Drinks are not included. The card of the room and parking is not working every day at least 2 times due to magnet issues. Parking is a walk up the hill from the hotel. Swimmingpool is fighting for a spot every day.

The food was good, but needs more varaity... missed the paella. The service was great, but some of the housekeepers were not so nice. Most of all we enjoyed pur stay.

Fuimos para Nochebuena y Navidad.
La comida buena, los espacios comunes limpios, casi todo el personal amable y simpático.
Hay bastante aparcamiento cerca.
A unos 10 mins del centro caminando.
Zona muy tranquila.
Los colchones estaban sucios, con migas y basuritas.
La sábana bajera se salía todo el rato (era muy corta y no tenia goma para enganchar).
El horario de la cena, terminaba muy pronto, a las 21.30h

Las habitaciones eran bastante nuevas y modernas, las almohadas eran un poco finas, pero pedimos otras y no tardaron en traerlas. El personal súper amable y atentos, tanto recepción como en el restaurante, el bar o las chicas de la limpieza. Hemos estado muy bien.
En el restaurante no había demasiada variedad, pero en cada cómoda había platos nuevos también. Cocinan cosas a la plancha al momento. Estaba muy bien. Había muchas opciones para todos los gustos. El baño con ducha era bastante grande y teníamos un amplio balcón con salida a la parte trasera del hotel, lástima, aunque era tranquilo.
To put a downside, the pool Water Slides were closed and it was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel, they should indicate from which date they are closed, because we were with children and they were eager to use them.

No pudimos disfrutar ni de la piscina porque volvimos de la playa a las 19:15 y la cierran a las 19:00. Nos hicieron dejar la habitación a las 10:30. O sea que al final pagas por estar medio día.
I don't know where the 4 stars have come from because the food leaves much to be desired. The shower towels are minimal.

Es la segunda vez que vamos. Es un hotel muy preparado para ir con niños y por eso vamos. Cierto es que no es un hotel para 4* pero para lo que lo queremos que es para que nuestro hijo disfrute nos viene genial. Es todo buffet, no es una gran calidad, pero para no parar de comer está bien.
El personal del comedor es muy amable, sobre todo Susana, es un encanto de mujer y muy atenta.

Fue un viaje en familia y nuestra sorpresa al llegar fue q habiamos reservado 5 habitaciones, y nos pusieron todos juntos en la primera planta y teniamos una terraza común para todas las habitaciones y asi podiamos ir de una a otra sin necesidad de salir al pasillo y molestar a los demás clientes, aunque tengo que decir que la terraza estaba muy sucia y llena de colillas de los pisos superiores q no usaban el cenicero y las tiraban a la terraza... cada día amaneciamos con la terraza más sucia...

La habitación y las instalaciones están muy bien. El restaurante es bastante grande y siempre hay varios pescados o carnes a escoger, el zumo del desayuno es natural y el café recién molido. El personal muy atento. La relación calidad/precio está muy bien.

Al día siguiente en la parte de abajo del armario un trozo de salchichón o similar lleno de hormigas. El día anterior no estaba, así que no sé si se nos quedó a nosotros enganchado en el zapato. En cualquier caso, se lo dijimos a la señora de la limpieza que se disculpó y fue muy amable. La zona de hamacas llena, es difícil encontrar un sitio y eso que es septiembre.
