Your Perfect Stay
Albir: spa, elegance and Mediterranean calm on the Costa Blanca
-
Located between lively Benidorm and charming Altea, Albir is a hidden gem on Spain’s Costa Blanca. This elegant hotel offers the perfect balance of comfort and wellness, with a spa designed to help you relax and recharge.
-
Albir is known for its peaceful atmosphere, pebble beach and crystal-clear waters. Its seafront promenade invites you to slow down and enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle. The hotel’s location also makes it easy to explore the region, from Benidorm’s nightlife to Altea’s artistic streets.
-
Nature lovers will enjoy the Serra Gelada Natural Park, with a scenic trail leading to the Albir lighthouse and breathtaking sea views. For day trips, you can visit picturesque villages like Guadalest or discover more of the Marina Baixa’s mountain landscapes.
A stay in Albir means combining elegance, wellness and the authentic charm of the Costa Blanca.
Why this destination is a must-visit
Albir: The most hipster and curious corner of the Costa Blanca
If Benidorm is all party vibes and skyscrapers, El Albir is its elegant, laid-back sibling with an exotic twist. Just 10 minutes away from the action, this spot is one of Alicante’s most surprising coastal gems.
Why is it so curious? Take note:
-
The Little Norway of Spain: Don’t be surprised if you see signs in Norwegian or stumble upon Scandinavian bakeries. Alfaz del Pi hosts one of the largest Norwegian communities in the world. Here, breakfast can mean toast with tomato… and a Nordic coffee. A unique cultural mix, under the Mediterranean sun.
-
No sand, just crystal-clear water: Its white pebble beach has a hidden superpower: no sand, no murky water. The result? Turquoise, ultra-clear sea that looks straight out of the Caribbean. Plus, you can enjoy a beach bar snack without crunching sand with every bite.
-
Hollywood by the sea: Watch your step along the promenade. You’ll find a real Walk of Fame with stars dedicated to famous actors, thanks to the renowned Film Festival that has filled the town with glamour every July for over 30 years.
-
The lazy route with epic views: The path to the Albir Lighthouse is one of the easiest and most rewarding coastal walks. Fully paved, stroller- and flip-flop-friendly, it hugs the Serra Gelada cliffs with views that make every step worth it.
Alicante is a lively Mediterranean city that perfectly balances beach life, culture and a relaxed urban atmosphere. Located on Spain’s Costa Blanca, it enjoys sunshine almost all year round and offers an easy-going vibe that appeals to both families and couples looking for a versatile seaside escape.
Make sure you visit:
- The Castle of Santa Bárbara, perched on Mount Benacantil with panoramic city and sea views.
- The Explanada de España, a palm-lined promenade ideal for a leisurely walk.
- The old town area, with its narrow streets, local bars and traditional feel.
- The harbour and marina, great for an evening stroll by the sea.
- The central shopping streets, lively and full of local life.
Beaches we think you’ll like:
- Postiguet Beach, right next to the city centre and very convenient.
- San Juan Beach, long, wide and perfect for families.
- Albufereta Beach, quieter and well connected.
- Cabo de las Huertas coves, ideal for a more natural setting.
Family-friendly activities:
- Enjoy a beach day with calm waters and easy access.
- Take a walk or bike ride along the seafront.
- Visit parks and open spaces around the city.
- Ride the lift or walk up to the castle for a fun experience.
- Explore nearby towns with short and easy trips.
Make sure you try these local delicacies:
- Rice dishes such as arroz del señoret or arroz a banda.
- Fresh seafood and Mediterranean fish.
- Traditional salted fish and local tapas.
- Local sweets enjoyed with a coffee.
Make the most of your visit and go to...
- Altea, known for its whitewashed old town and sea views.
- Elche, home to the famous palm grove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Villajoyosa, colourful houses and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
- Tabarca Island, perfect for a short boat trip and clear waters.
