Mallorca is one of the Mediterranean’s most beloved islands, combining turquoise coves, golden-sand beaches, scenic mountain landscapes, charming stone villages, and a vibrant cultural scene. Ideal for families and couples alike, the island invites you to slow down, explore, and enjoy every moment under the sun.

Make sure you visit:

  • Palma de Mallorca’s Old Town: A captivating mix of Gothic architecture, narrow lanes, elegant courtyards, and lively cafés perfect for an afternoon stroll.
  • La Seu Cathedral: The island’s most iconic monument, rising dramatically by the sea with stunning interiors and views.
  • Serra de Tramuntana: A UNESCO-listed mountain range offering breathtaking panoramas, charming viewpoints, and picturesque villages.
  • Valldemossa & Deià: Two of the most beautiful inland villages, known for their stone houses, artistic heritage, and peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere.
  • Cap de Formentor: A dramatic headland with unforgettable viewpoints overlooking cliffs, forests, and the sea.

Beaches we think you’ll like:

  • Cala Mondragó: A protected natural bay with shallow turquoise water, perfect for families.
  • Es Trenc: Often compared to Caribbean beaches thanks to its white sand and calm, clear sea.
  • Cala Llombards: A small cove surrounded by rocky cliffs and perfect for snorkeling.
  • Playa de Muro: A long sandy beach with gentle waves, ideal for children and long seaside walks.
  • Cala Agulla: A scenic beach framed by pine forests and natural dunes.

Family-friendly activities:

  • Palma Aquarium: A highlight for children, with huge tanks, interactive zones, and Mediterranean species.
  • Vintage train to Sóller: A charming wooden train crossing valleys and citrus groves, ideal for a relaxing family excursion.
  • Boat trip along the coast: Great for spotting hidden coves and enjoying the island from the water.
  • Cuevas del Drach: Fascinating underground caves with a large subterranean lake.
  • Easy hikes in the Tramuntana: Well-signposted routes suitable for beginners and families.

Make sure you try these local delicacies:

  • Ensaimada: Mallorca’s iconic sweet pastry, perfect for breakfast or a mid-afternoon treat.
  • Sobrassada: A soft, slightly spicy cured sausage traditionally spread on bread.
  • Tumbet: A local vegetable dish similar to ratatouille, full of Mediterranean flavours.
  • Arroz brut: A comforting, spiced rice dish prepared with meat and vegetables.
  • Fresh seafood: Especially local fish like “raor” or grilled sardines.

Make the most of your visit and go to ...

  • Sóller & Port de Sóller: A perfect day trip combining mountain scenery, orange groves, and a beautiful seaside promenade.
  • Alcúdia Old Town: A charming medieval walled town with cobbled streets, traditional markets, and Roman ruins nearby.
  • Cabrera National Park: Take a boat tour to this protected archipelago with untouched landscapes and crystal-clear waters.
