Las fallas, the fire festival of the Pyrenees

- Las fallas de Boí is a festival dedicated to the cult of the sun and is celebrated around the summer solstice. The fallaires, when it gets dark, light their fallas, make the descent proud to carry the fire to the village with one of the boys in front, until they reach the square, where people welcome them with joy, music and celebration, a large bonfire is made with the remains of the fallas and rantiners that have resisted the descent and the party begins and can last all night.

The from was a good size for three people although there was no real window in our bedroom ( only a pretend one with light behind it). The service was good. The room and hotel was very clean. Breakfast choice was good and food tasted nice. Good coffee.

Lack of staff, we arrived at 5 p.m. and there was only one receptionist. Everything is rather poorly managed. You book the spa and they don’t give you towels until you go to use it. That means queuing to collect the towels. They had a large group that day and they scheduled dinner for 8 p.m. These things have to be anticipated, and if a large group arrives, there should be more staff to attend to them. The dinner and breakfast… are not up to the price. Breakfast at 16€ per person. Two types of pastries in variety, there were no churros (which are advertised on the menu) and the dinner… tasteless and basic dishes.
The apartment is old, small, although for a weekend visit or to ski it is quite good. It has many wardrobes and a fitted kitchen. I think it’s more of an apartment for overnight stays and not to have a direct relationship with the hotel itself. But the price and the quality of the hotel leave a lot to be desired.
La falta de personal, llegamos a las 17h y sólo habia una persona como recepcionista. Esta todo bastante mal gestionado. Haces la reserva del spa y no te dan las toallas hasta que no vas ha hacer uso. Eso equivale ha hacer cola para recoger las toallas. Tenian un grupo grande ese dia y nos pusieron la cena a las 20h. Estas cosas las tienen que preveer y si viene un grupo grande, que haya más personal para atender. La cena y desayuno... no estan a la altura del precio. Desayuno de 16€/persona. Dos tipos de pastas en variedad, no habia churros (que lo anuncian en la carta) y la cena... platos sin sabor y básicos...
El apartamento está viejo, es pequeño, aunque para hacer una visita de fin de semana o para esquiar está bastante bien. Tiene muchos armarios y la cocina equipada. Creo que es un apartamento más para pernoctar y no tener relación con el hotel en sí. Pero el precio y la calidad del hotel, deja mucho que desear.
