Ferry

Your Mallorca adventure starts on board

Your departure: choose between Barcelona or Valencia. During the booking process, you’ll be able to check the available ferry schedules and select the accommodation option that best suits your trip.

  • We recommend arriving at the port at least 2 hours before departure.
  • Overnight crossing: make the most of the journey by travelling overnight and waking up with the first views of Mallorca at sunrise.
  • Arrival on the island: the ferry arrives in the morning. Please note that hotel check-in will be available from midday onwards.

Information about the ferry company

  • The ferry crossing is usually operated by Trasmed.
  • However, for operational reasons, the route may also be operated by GNV, another company covering the same route.
  • The final ferry operator will be confirmed directly at the port on the day of departure.
  • This will not affect your booking or the services included. The ferry company may simply assign the vessel according to operational needs to ensure the crossing operates smoothly.

When does your board basis start?

  • If you book a meal plan, it will always begin at the accommodation.
  • Please note that meals are not included on the ferry.

Optional extra services

  • During the booking process, you will have the option to add vehicle transport on the ferry for both the outbound and return journeys.

If you're travelling in a cabin...

  • Cabins may have 1 or 2 bunks, depending on the booking’s occupancy; they can accommodate up to 4 people and feature a private bathroom with a shower.
  • The cabin is private, meaning you’ll only share it with the people in your booking.

Cabin Layout:

  • If your booking includes 4 people or fewer, you’ll share a single cabin. * If you’d like to have two cabins, you can contact us here and we’ll check for availability.
  • If there are more than 4 people in your group, multiple cabins will be assigned based on the maximum capacity.

Important information about mandatory port taxes

Please note that the ferry price does not include mandatory port taxes, which must be paid separately.

Fees applicable from Barcelona to any of the three islands:

  • Passengers (adults, children and babies): €1.17 per person
  • Car (tourism vehicle): €4.50 per vehicle

Essential travel documents

How to make your booking

Start this process early, as certain procedures may take time.

S’Arenal, more than sun and sand

Think you know S’Arenal? Think again. Beyond its famous sunsets and lively atmosphere, this corner of Mallorca hides stories waiting to be discovered.

Did you know…?

  • You’re walking on history: S’Arenal was shaped by stonemasons who extracted the stone used to build Palma Cathedral, a place born from craftsmanship, not tourism.
  • A destination with a twist: Cross a single street and you’re in a different town, the Torrent dels Jueus divides the area between Palma and Llucmajor, two destinations in one.
  • A fisherman’s hideaway: For a more authentic side, Es Calonet offers traditional boats and a peaceful setting, just a short stroll from your hotel.

Mallorca is an island made for exploring. Its coastline changes dramatically as you travel around it, from long sandy beaches and sweeping bays to tiny coves, fishing harbours and dramatic cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. And while its turquoise waters are certainly tempting in summer, Mallorca’s coastal scenery, seaside towns and panoramic routes make it a wonderful destination at almost any time of year.

Make sure you visit:

  • The bays of Alcúdia and Pollença: discover the long sandy stretches of Playa de Muro and Alcúdia Beach, as well as the spectacular Formentor peninsula, where mountains and pine forests meet the Mediterranean.
  • The northeast and east coast: explore areas such as Artà, Capdepera and Manacor, with beautiful spots including Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida and plenty of smaller coves dotted along the coastline.
  • The southeast coast: one of Mallorca’s most picturesque stretches, home to Cala Mondragó, S’Amarador, Cala Llombards and the striking Caló des Moro. Don’t miss Cala Figuera either, a charming fishing harbour tucked into a narrow inlet.
  • The south coast: visit Es Trenc, famous for its long stretch of pale sand, dunes and natural surroundings, and explore the coastline around Colònia de Sant Jordi.
  • The Serra de Tramuntana coast: Mallorca at its most dramatic. Mountains plunge towards the Mediterranean, creating spectacular coastal landscapes around Sa Calobra, Cala Tuent and Cala Deià.

Beaches we think you’ll like:

  • Playa de Muro: a long, sandy beach on the Bay of Alcúdia, particularly popular with families thanks to its shallow waters.
  • Cala Mesquida: surrounded by dunes and Mediterranean vegetation, it has a much wilder feel than Mallorca’s larger resort beaches.
  • Cala Mondragó and S’Amarador: two beautiful beaches within the Mondragó Natural Park, surrounded by pine trees and coastal scenery.
  • Es Trenc: one of the island’s best-known beaches, with pale sand, clear water and a natural dune landscape.
  • Cala Tuent: a quieter pebble beach surrounded by the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana – a completely different side of Mallorca.

Family-friendly activities:

  • Take a scenic drive around the island, stopping at coastal viewpoints, lighthouses, beaches and small seaside towns along the way.
  • Explore Mallorca’s promenades and harbours on foot and enjoy an easy walk with Mediterranean views.
  • Head to Formentor or the Serra de Tramuntana for some of the island’s most impressive coastal scenery and viewpoints.
  • When the weather is right, discover the coastline from the water with a boat trip, kayak or paddleboard.
  • Pack your snorkel and explore Mallorca’s clear Mediterranean waters, particularly around its smaller coves and rocky stretches of coast.

Make sure you try these local delicacies:

  • Pa amb oli: rustic Mallorcan bread served with tomato and olive oil, often accompanied by cheese or cured meats.
  • Sobrasada: Mallorca’s famous soft, paprika-seasoned cured sausage.
  • Tumbet: a traditional dish made with layers of vegetables such as aubergine, potato and peppers.
  • Mallorcan ensaimada: the island’s iconic spiral-shaped pastry, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon treat.

Make the most of your visit and go to...

  • Formentor Peninsula: follow one of Mallorca’s most scenic coastal routes, with dramatic viewpoints, pine-covered landscapes and the Mediterranean stretching out below.
  • Cala Figuera: wander around this traditional fishing harbour and see boats and old fishermen’s houses lining its narrow inlets.
  • Port de Sóller: enjoy the seaside atmosphere, stroll along the waterfront and admire the mountain scenery surrounding its natural harbour.
  • Sa Calobra and Torrent de Pareis: experience one of Mallorca’s most spectacular coastal landscapes, where the rugged Serra de Tramuntana meets the sea.

Great hotel to stay if You travel on budget. Decent size, clean rooms, food was good - didn't expect anything fantastic for this price , there was always something You can eat - meat , fish and plenty of vegetable options Staff very polite and helpful
There is no parking, streets around the hotel are always full of parked cars, but that's not for hotel to blame
Fabulous
8.9 Jorge Travelled with family October 2026 Very good value for money. 30 metres from the beach. A plentiful and varied buffet. All the staff were very friendly.
Muy buena relación calidad-precio. A 30 metros de la playa. Abundante y variado buffet libre. Gran amabilidad de todo el personal.
It’s very difficult to park in the area. The lifts are often overcrowded at various times of the day, especially if one breaks down and isn’t repaired promptly. The meal times are very much geared towards foreign guests.

2.3 Adrian Travelled with family October 2026 The only redeeming feature is the waiters.
We didn’t really like the ghetto where the hotel was. The all-inclusive package, which included practically nothing, also felt like a con. The whole area is full of foreigners and bars that rip people off. The pool is one big puddle, and everything else is just as bad…

The meal times are very geared towards the British public. Too early if you want to sightsee, since the dining room closes at 14:45 and they even ask you to get up even if you’re midway through your meal — the same happens at dinner.

5 María De Los Ángeles Travelled with couple October 2026 The food and staff… very friendly
La comida y personal ..muy amable
From 9 October, when we arrived, until 12 October, when we left, nobody entered the room at all. We had to ask for clean towels every day, leaving the used ones on the floor, and they never came to collect them or clean the room. We asked for an explanation and they couldn’t give one. On top of that it was a room without a proper window — there was one that opened onto an uncovered space where guests from the upper rooms threw cigarette butts and smoked. Shameful; they even threw a trainer down, which we left at reception. I wouldn’t go back.
No volvería.

6.9 David Travelled with  friends October 2026 The price and the hotel staff are the highlights; we received very good treatment from most of them. Location close to the beach.
The buffet food is acceptable, with a good variety but only fair quality. The location is very close to the beach, but car park is very difficult and the area has a high immigrant population. Rooms are clean but old, and soundproofing is poor.

The hotel itself is old, but it’s well looked after. On the downside, the room cleaning staff were very poor.

Breakfast was passable, but lunch and dinner were awful — by far the worst buffet I’ve ever been to. They didn’t even have a griddle, which would have saved it.

2.7 Vasile Travelled with family September 2026 This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. Very bad location — it’s in a third-world neighbourhood, and going out onto the street felt scary. There is no car park and you have to walk 1 km to park. The pool is a puddle stuck against the wall of a building that never gets sun and it looked abandoned. We booked a room with a balcony and the view was the roofs of ruined buildings full of rubbish (horrible). We also booked all-inclusive and it was nothing of the sort — almost nothing is included and everything has time restrictions; the food was repetitive. The facilities are awful; the only things refurbished are those shown on the hotel website, and the bathrooms were full of mould. Places like this ruin your holiday. I would not recommend it to anyone.

8.3 Javier Travelled solo September 2026 The hotel's location — less than two minutes from the beach — and the staff's service.
They should improve the TV mount so it can be positioned straight to watch from the bed, and the timing of the room cleaning. There was a lack of variety in the dinner dishes: pizza?, Spanish omelette?, and other options.

The services are awful. Food is very repetitive every day. The pool is a bath, it’s pitiful. Very, very old hotel with no improvements at all; the lobby chairs are filthy from years of use. The shower is an old bathtub and you can’t adjust the hot and cold water. Also it doesn’t drain. Lifts are dreadful and very small for the size of the hotel. Car Park near the hotel... MISSION IMPOSSIBLE...
