Taste, relax & repeat: enjoy a traditional “calçotada”

A grill, calçots, romesco sauce, bibs, wine, and the urge to eat with your hands: that’s all you need to enjoy a true calçotada. These tender, sweet onions take over Catalan tables every winter, and with this deal, tasting them becomes easier than ever: get ready for an authentic calçotada experience.

You will enjoy the full tradition at Les Arades Restaurant, awarded second prize at the Calçotada de Valls Sauce Competition by the Tarragona Provincial Council. The restaurant is in Vilabella, just a short drive from Valls, the home of calçotadas. Please note that you will need your own transport to get there.

What’s included in the calçotada menu?

• Calçots with romesco sauce
• Grilled longaniza sausage, bacon, and black pudding with beans
• Bread
• Water and wine
• Catalan cream (Crème caramel)

For an extra €11, you can add: lamb with baked potato, dessert (orange, flan, or ice cream), coffee, and a shot. You can select these supplements during the booking process.

When will the calçotada take place?

Calçotadas are available on Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends from 29 November 2025 to 6 April 2026, except Christmas week.

If your first hotel night is on a Sunday, the calçotada will take place on your arrival day. Otherwise, it will be scheduled for the day after arrival.

In very exceptional cases, the date might vary slightly, but it will always be during your stay. We’ll let you know as soon as possible if any change applies.
