Top attractions:

  • Mar Menor Lagoon: Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon. Thanks to its calm, shallow waters, it is ideal for swimming, kayaking, sailing and other water sports.
  • Puerto Deportivo Tomás Maestre: The main marina, offering a variety of restaurants, bars, and boat excursions.
  • Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar: nearby salt flats and a natural park with walking trails and opportunities to spot flamingos.
  • The iconic Faro de Cabo de Palos lighthouse offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and is located at the southern end of La Manga.
  • The small islands of Isla del Barón and Isla Perdiguera are perfect for boat trips and snorkelling.

Best beaches in La Manga del Mar Menor:

  • Playa de Levante: Facing the Mediterranean with fine golden sand and slightly stronger waves — great for a refreshing swim.

10 Ascen Rubio Travelled with  friends July 2025 I loved the hotel, its services, and especially its staff. I suffer from claustrophobia, so I don't take the elevator. They gave me the fourth floor, but as soon as I mentioned it at reception, they found me a room on the ground floor. A luxury hotel, I assure you. Many thanks to all the staff.

3.3 Jose Carlos Travelled with couple July 2025 The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the security guard who looks like the Pentagon, seems like they will need it in case problems arise inside the hotel.
Old rooms with old furniture, doors peeling at the bottom from the passage of time, bathroom tiles chipped seen from the room to rooftops and the loading area of suppliers, and for the price I paid for each night, there was nothing more than a dispenser worth of gel and shampoo, and another one for foamy hand soap, there were no amenities whatsoever. I requested a room change with good views over the phone, and they first told me I would have to pay more, then they corrected themselves and said they didn't have availability to make the change. The hotel car park costs a whopping 25€ each day, they take advantage of the lack of car park in the surrounding area.

7.6 María Del Carmen Travelled with couple July 2025
