The “aviary” in the sea: La Pilona
walk along Malgrat Beach and you’ll spot a rusty iron structure rising from the water. Known as La Pilona, it once marked the end of an aerial cable system that transported iron from the Can Palomeres mines to ships offshore. beneath the church square lies a restored air-raid shelter from the Spanish Civil War. Open to visitors, it offers a powerful and moving glimpse into Malgrat’s strategic past. -

Estubimos mas de una hora en cola para el checking a la llegada, sugiero a la entrada del desayuno que tenga Daria mas flexibilidad a la hora de entrar o disponga del listado de habitaciones y su pension para la entrada diciendo el numero ya que sin la tarjeta nos negó la entrada y tubimos que ir a buscarla a la habitacion sin poder subir en ascensor a una planta alta ya que era hora de salidas.

They gave us a room that faced a compressor that was running all night. The next morning, we asked for a room change first thing and they kept giving us excuses. After asking twice, they told us they wouldn't change us because it was full.
