The Lighthouse: more than a guide for ships The Calella Lighthouse is the city’s most iconic landmark. It was inaugurated in 1859 and its light originally ran on olive oil. Today it is still active, but it also houses an interpretation centre where visitors can discover how optical communications once worked along the coast.

Why are locals called “Llops” (Wolves)? The people of Calella are affectionately known as llops (wolves). According to local legend, many years ago a very large, shaggy dog frightened the townspeople, who believed it was a wolf. After gathering the courage to hunt it down, they discovered it was simply a lost dog. The nickname stayed forever as a playful local joke.

A refuge from the Civil War Beneath Dalmau Park lies the Dalmau Park Air-Raid Shelter, built by local residents in 1937 to protect themselves from bombings during the Spanish Civil War. Too many badly behaved children.

The hotel is clean and food is nice and always enough and fresh. Staff is very nice but the director is not.
Drinks are not included. The card of the room and parking is not working every day at least 2 times due to magnet issues. Parking is a walk up the hill from the hotel. Swimmingpool is fighting for a spot every day.

The food was good, but needs more varaity... missed the paella. The service was great, but some of the housekeepers were not so nice. Most of all we enjoyed pur stay.

Me he encontrado más llegar a la habitación la nevera con restos de comida del hospedé anterior, la comida bueno lo típico nada en especial, postres casi nada, el hotel es muy grande a lo mejor caben más de 2000 personas!!!! Las piscinas en las fotos parecen una pasada, pero son muy pequeñas máximo 168 personas!!!!! Imaginar en un hotel de más de 2000 personas en una piscina tan pequeña, las tumbonas ya era de risa como mucho caben unas 40 !!!!! Vale que por precio no está mal pero no vale la pena ir si quieres relajarte junto a la piscina, la piscina de los niños están bien pero solo es para niños, y no puedes dejar a los niños solos, o estás en un zona o en la otra, la piscina de los adultos no se puede ver la de los niños y eso es un problema!!! Para un finde aún pero para más no!!!!!!!! Lo siento mucho pero no volveré nunca más a este hotel!!!! A y los ascensores otra unas colas porque solo iban dos ascensores de tres o uno de ves en cuando!!! Bueno una experiencia que no quiero volver a repetir

Los horarios de las comidas trastocan completamente las vacaciones. El comedor al medio día CIERRA a las 14:30. Me parece un disparate por mucho turista extranjero que haya.

La disposición del baño es surrealista y sin un sitio para colgar las toallas de ducha.
