7.7 Jose Travelled with family August 2026 Good location on a small hill next to Albir beach, which is fantastic; being a little bit set back makes it a peaceful place to stay and ideal if you’re looking for tranquillity.
Buena ubicación quedando en una pequeña colina al lado de la playa del Albir que es fantástica, al estar un poco apartado lo convierte en un alojamiento tranquilo e ideal si buscas tranquilidad.
As an improvement I would point out that, despite being a hotel with potential, it needs an almost complete refurbishment because maintenance is generally neglected and it is outdated compared with today’s hotels; both its condition and its aesthetic are somewhat old-fashioned. This is what I would highlight most for it to be a hotel of proper standing, as it has a lot of room for improvement, as I said at the start of the review.

The location isn't great; you need a car to get around unless you want to climb Rome's seven hills to reach places. They provide a vehicle to take you to the beach and bring you back, which is good... but if you want to stroll or go out at night it's poorly located for walking. I would only return for the staff.

The food and breakfasts seemed very good to us, varied and with daily changes, which is much appreciated. The waiters were super attentive, pleasant and always on hand. The hotel has a minivan that takes and collects guests from the beach, but it runs at fairly spread-out times, approximately every one to two hours, and you have to notify reception about half an hour in advance. Nuestra experiencia en el Sun Palace Albir & Spa ha sido buena en términos generales. La comida y los desayunos nos parecieron muy buenos, variados y con cambios cada día, algo que se agradece mucho. Los camareros fueron súper atentos, agradables y siempre pendientes. También disfrutamos de la piscina y de las actividades. La animadora que llevaba el karaoke y el aquagym era especialmente maja, cercana y agradable. El servicio de limpieza también nos pareció muy bueno. En recepción queremos destacar especialmente a Alyana y Aitor, siempre muy predispuestos, amables y dispuestos a ayudar. El hotel en sí nos ha parecido un cuatro estrellas muy aceptable y hemos estado a gusto. La única pega importante, y por la que probablemente no repetiríamos, es la ubicación. El hotel está bastante alejado de la playa y, sobre todo, en una zona con muchísima cuesta. Desde la playa —que además es de piedras— hay que subir aproximadamente unas diez calles y la pendiente se hace bastante incómoda. El hotel dispone de una furgoneta que lleva y recoge huéspedes de la playa, pero tiene horarios bastante espaciados, aproximadamente cada una o dos horas, y hay que avisar en recepción con una media hora de antelación. El servicio funciona hasta las 22:00. Para nosotros resulta poco práctico y condiciona bastante los desplazamientos. En resumen: buena comida, personal excelente, limpieza, piscina y servicios muy correctos. Una estancia agradable y un hotel recomendable si no os supone un problema la ubicación y las fuertes cuestas.

The pool is nice, but there aren’t enough loungers and the ones that are there are usually occupied with towels almost all day, even though there are signs saying you can’t reserve loungers (I don’t think anyone enforces this). At breakfast you could already see some loungers taken, and when we went there wasn’t even anywhere to leave our clothes. As for the entertainment, apart from two days (a flamenco show and a singer), the entertainer just played music and didn’t interact with the audience, so nobody got up to dance and nobody sang at karaoke… there was a lack of encouragement for people to join in… it was a bit boring.

Located in the municipality and town of Alfaz del Pi, in the province of Alicante. About 700 metres away is Albir Beach and just over 6km is the city of Benidorm.

The accommodation has 24-hour reception, air conditioning, heating, free Wi-Fi, outdoor pool, indoor car park for a fee and buffet restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has the Ricks Cafeteria and a pool bar (during the summer season).

In addition, the accommodation has a free shuttle bus service to the beach, with a frequency of 1 hour (only during the summer season). There is also a panoramic terrace where you can access and contemplate the beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea or the mountains of the Sierra.

At about 5km from the accommodation we recommend you to visit the beautiful Natural Park of Serra Gelada. You can also visit other tourist and nearby towns in the area such as Villajoyosa, Calpe or Alcoy.

7.7 Jose Travelled with family August 2026 Good location on a small hill next to Albir beach, which is fantastic; being a little bit set back makes it a peaceful place to stay and ideal if you’re looking for tranquillity.

As an improvement I would point out that, despite being a hotel with potential, it needs an almost complete refurbishment because maintenance is generally neglected and it is outdated compared with today’s hotels; both its condition and its aesthetic are somewhat old-fashioned. This is what I would highlight most for it to be a hotel of proper standing, as it has a lot of room for improvement, as I said at the start of the review.

Nuestra experiencia en el Sun Palace Albir & Spa ha sido buena en términos generales. La comida y los desayunos nos parecieron muy buenos, variados y con cambios cada día, algo que se agradece mucho. Los camareros fueron súper atentos, agradables y siempre pendientes. También disfrutamos de la piscina y de las actividades. La animadora que llevaba el karaoke y el aquagym era especialmente maja, cercana y agradable. El servicio de limpieza también nos pareció muy bueno. En recepción queremos destacar especialmente a Alyana y Aitor, siempre muy predispuestos, amables y dispuestos a ayudar. El hotel en sí nos ha parecido un cuatro estrellas muy aceptable y hemos estado a gusto. La única pega importante, y por la que probablemente no repetiríamos, es la ubicación. El hotel está bastante alejado de la playa y, sobre todo, en una zona con muchísima cuesta. Desde la playa —que además es de piedras— hay que subir aproximadamente unas diez calles y la pendiente se hace bastante incómoda. El hotel dispone de una furgoneta que lleva y recoge huéspedes de la playa, pero tiene horarios bastante espaciados, aproximadamente cada una o dos horas, y hay que avisar en recepción con una media hora de antelación. El servicio funciona hasta las 22:00. Para nosotros resulta poco práctico y condiciona bastante los desplazamientos. En resumen: buena comida, personal excelente, limpieza, piscina y servicios muy correctos. Una estancia agradable y un hotel recomendable si no os supone un problema la ubicación y las fuertes cuestas.

The pool is nice, but there aren’t enough loungers and the ones that are there are usually occupied with towels almost all day, even though there are signs saying you can’t reserve loungers (I don’t think anyone enforces this). As for the entertainment, apart from two days (a flamenco show and a singer), the entertainer just played music and didn’t interact with the audience, so nobody got up to dance and nobody sang at karaoke… there was a lack of encouragement for people to join in… it was a bit boring.
