About the accommodation
Vale d'El Rei Hotel & Villas 4* is located in a rural area of the Algarve in the municipality of Carvoeiro and less than 4 km from the sandy beach of Marinha.
The accommodation has a 24-hour reception, so you can be attended whenever you need it, free luggage storage service, free wifi, air conditioning and heating and free outdoor car park.

I would have preferred a buffet dinner, but the quality of the food was quite good.

Very clean hotel and very friendly staff

To go to the dining room to have breakfast, you have to go outside and if it is raining a lot, as it was, it is a bit uncomfortable.

The environment, the tranquility, the gardens of the complex, the attention of the staff, the buffet breakfasts.
El entorno, la tranquilidad, los jardines del complejo, la tención del personal, los desayunos buffet.
We had requested a quiet room and they gave us one that on our balcony we had our air conditioning compressor and that of the room next door!!!, and they had it running all night, with the consequent noise. We had half board, we read that it was free buffet, but on September 1 they changed it to menu, with little variety.
Habíamos solicitado habitación silenciosa y nos adjudicaron una que en nuestro balcón teníamos el compresor del aire acondicionado nuestro y el de la habitación de al lado !!!, y lo tuvieron toda la noche en marcha, con el consiguiente ruido. Teníamos media pensión, leímos que era buffet libre, pero el día 1 de Septiembre lo cambiaron a menú, con poca variedad.

The rooms were clean, large with terrace. The pool was good. We had breakfast only and it was ok but little variety. The staff was very friendly.
Las habitaciones estaban limpias, grande con terraza. La piscina bien. Hemos tenido solo desayuno y estaba bien pero poca variedad. El personal muy amable.
The location of the hotel. We had a daily circuit to the Spa and I didn't like it at all, there was a sauna, the jacuzzi didn't work and the Turkish bath didn't work either. We had to be 6 people, but there is not enough room (very small), if you stay for lunch in the hotel there was not a very varied menu and every day it was 20€ or 30€ per person without drinks. We sat down for a drink in the evening and were charged 54€ for 2 drinks in a balloon and 2 stones.
La ubicación de hotel. Hemos tenido circuito diario al Spa y no me gusto nada.Habia sauna, el jacuzzi no funcionaba, el baño turco tampoco. Teníamos que estar 6 personas, pero ahí no caben tanto (muy pequeño).Si te quedas a comer en el hotel habia menu tampoco muy variado y cada dia valia 20€ o 30€ por persona sin bebidas. Nos sentamos a tomar una copa por la noche y nos han cobrado 54€ por 2copas en balón y 2 piedras.

The hotel is very good and the breakfast is excellent. I liked the pool, common areas and the spacious room (2x2 bed) a marvel.
El hotel esa muy bien y el desayuno excelente. Me ha gustado la piscina, zonas comunes y la habitación amplia ( la cama de 2x2) una maravilla.
Heat in the common areas. The spa does not work properly, the jets do not work and the hydromassage column does not work either. I told an employee about it and the following days it was the same.
Calor en las zonas comunes. El spa, no funciona correctamente, los chorros no funcionan y la columna de hidromasaje tampoco. Se lo comenté a una empleada y los siguientes días estaba igual.

If you have celiac disease, a danger! Accommodation and breakfast included. We also warned the hotel in advance and they told us that it was no problem. When we got there, surprise! They do not guarantee cross contamination in the buffet as the other guests use the same space. They offer us only 3 croissants without coffee, juice...THEY HAVE NO REAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE MANIPULATION OF GLUTEN FREE FOODS FOR COELIACS!
Si eres celíaco, un peligro!! Alojamiento y desayuno incluidos. Avisamos con antelación también al propio hotel y nos indicaron que sin problema. Al llegar allí, sorpresa! No garantizan la contaminación cruzada en el buffet ya que los demás huéspeds utilizan mismo espacio. Nos ofrecen sólo 3 croissants sin café, zumo…NO TIENEN CONOCIMIENTO REAL, DE LA MANIPULACIÓN DE LOS ALIMENTOS SIN GLUTEN PARA LOS CELÍACOS!
