The “aviary” in the sea: La Pilona
walk along Malgrat Beach and you’ll spot a rusty iron structure rising from the water. Known as La Pilona, it once marked the end of an aerial cable system that transported iron from the Can Palomeres mines to ships offshore. A true engineering marvel of the early 20th century, it is now an iconic symbol of the town and a favourite resting place for cormorants. -
Castle Park: a balcony with a space-age lift
at the top of a hill in the town centre stands Parc del Castell. Beyond its 360° views, the real curiosity is its inclined panoramic lift. Free to use, it takes you from the historic centre to the peaceful gardens in under a minute. -
Francesc Macià Park: the land of giants

according to popular legend, “Malgrat” comes from “mal grat”, meaning unpleasant, referring to the marshy land where the town was founded. Over time, those marshes became fertile orchards, now famous for the prized mongeta del ganxet bean. -
The Civil War shelter
beneath the church square lies a restored air-raid shelter from the Spanish Civil War. Open to visitors, it offers a powerful and moving glimpse into Malgrat’s strategic past. -
The Tordera Delta and flamingos
Malgrat marks the border between Barcelona and Girona provinces. After recent storms, the mouth of the Tordera River transformed into a new lagoon, now attracting flamingos and migratory birds never seen here before.

- Important! If your booking ends on 15/10 and you have booked Full Board:
- You will have to start your stay with lunch.
- Lunch is served from 13:00h to 15:00h.
- Check-out day you will enjoy breakfast as the last service.
- It is not possible to change the order of the meals, as the accommodation will end the season on this date, please take this into account!
Information regarding Single Rooms and Family Discounts
- Babies from 0 to 1 year old: travel FREE sharing bed with parents or in their own travel crib.
- Traveling with two babies? Contact us here so we can check if it is possible to stay in the same room.
- Children from 2 to 11 years old, as long as they sleep in the same room with 2 adults or 2 people paying the adult rate:
- From June 21 to September 14: 1st stays at 75% discount and 2nd stays at 50% discount.
- During the rest of the dates: the 1st stays FREE and the 2nd stays with a 50% discount.
- The maximum capacity of the rooms is 3 people. We explain it better!
- Are you traveling with children? The maximum capacity is 2 adults + 2 children or babies per room.
- Are you all adults? The maximum capacity is 4 adults per room.
- The accommodation does not admit a 5th place in the same room, whether adult, child or baby.
Do you want to book a single room? The surcharge for a single room varies according to the dates, you will see the price applied during the booking process.
Pet Policy
This accommodation allows pets with the following conditions:
- Maximum weight: 8 kg/pet
- Price: 10 €/night and pet
- A maximum of one pet per room is allowed.
- Your pet must be tied up in the main areas of the hotel
- Pets may move throughout the hotel except for the restaurant, bar and pool area.
Tourism tax
The tourism tax isn't included in the booking price, as it's mandatory to pay this tax directly at the hotel reception. Children under the age of 16 are exempt from this tax.

delicious variety of food, close to the beach,
very noisy there is no soundproofing in the rooms. hear the neighbors absolutely everything. there is a disco in the hotel, music is played all night until morning. it is impossible to rest at night. we didn't sleep for 7 nights. the hotel is completely aimed at young people. Viajábamos con una adolescente y nos dieron un habitación para tres personas de tres camas individuales pero todas juntas ,así que la persona del medio no tenía por donde salir .

Los chicos que recogen platos y arman mesas a pesas de ser muy jovencitos lo hacen muy bien ,el Mestre daba órdenes con muy malas formas y crea un ambiente incómodo y la comida escasa y se mala calidad .
En el desayuno tuve que avisar que los huevos revueltos estaban con olor a podrido ,los retiraron inmediatamente pero ya había mucha gente que se había servido .
