  • The Aquafun park is scheduled to be open daily from June 9 to September 10, 2024.

    • From March 29 to March 31 (both included) it will be open.
    • From May 1 to June 8, it will be open only on weekends.

  • Conditions and opening hours of the park:

    • Minimum height is 1.20m. A minimum height is established to make use of the Water Slides for safety reasons.
    • The maximum weight allowed is 110kgs. The maximum weight allowed to use the Water Slides is 110kgs for safety reasons.
    • Park opening hours are from 11:00h to 19:30hh (subject to change and weather conditions).

The Hotel Alegria Costa Ballena Aquafun 4 * is located in the municipality of Rota, in the province of Cadiz and 1km from the beach of Costa Ballena.


The hotel has a 24-hour reception, to assist you whenever you need it, luggage storage service, wifi connection, air conditioning and heating, bar and restaurant, indoor car park and outdoor car park (both for a fee) and a wonderful environment, full of gardens. In addition, it also has a spa area (for a fee) and gym, great!

The rooms have wifi connection, air conditioning, heating, telephone, television, safe (for a fee) and a fully equipped bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer and amenities (only gel and shampoo). In addition, you can also relax on the balcony overlooking the outside.

7.1 Cristina Travelled with family July 2024 The rooms are quite well soundproofed, you rest well, the bed and pillows are comfortable, the sofa bed not so much. All rooms have a terrace which is a plus. The food for my taste very rich, do not expect the typical huge buffet but I prefer less variety and more quality.there is grill every day to make fish or meat (there is always a choice of each and is changing every day), at breakfast they make omelets grilled eggs or pancakes at the time, breakfast is very varied is great!in the evenings there is also outside grill (changes every day) some days is meat another day spits, sea bass ... very good indeed. If you go with children and tend to eat fried food (type croquettes, nuggets nuggets, wands and the like) in this hotel there is hardly any option of this type. If you do not go with IT regime the prices of the cafeteria located in the water park are more than q reasonable, I was favorably surprised in this regard. The water park is very good for the kids. The transfer from the hotel to the beach is very useful, it takes 2 minutes to get there and you save moving the car. Very friendly staff in general. The area with a lot of family atmosphere at night, there is a small fair and stalls and many restaurants for dinner or ice cream for a walk. We loved the beach!
Habitaciones bastante bien insonorizadas,se descansa bien,la cama y almohadas son cómodas,el sofá cama no tanto.. Todas las estancias constan de una terracita que es un plus. La comida para mí gusto muy rica,no esperes el típico buffet inmenso pero yo prefiero menos variedad y más calidad.Hay plancha todos los días para hacer pescado o carne (siempre hay una opción de cada y va cambiando cada día),en el desayuno te hacen tortillas huevos plancha o tortitas al momento, el desayuno es muy variado está genial!Por las noches además fuera hay parrilla(cambia cada día)unos días es carne otro día espetos,lubina dorada..muy buenas por cierto. Si vas con niños y suelen comer fritos(tipo croquetas,empanadillas nuggets varitas y similar) en este hotel no hay apenas opción de este tipo . Si no vas con régimen de TI los precios de la cafetería situada en el parque acuático son más q razónables,me sorprendió favorablemente en este aspecto. El parque acuático está muy bien para los peques . El Transfer del hotel a la playa es muy útil,tarda 2min en llegar y te ahorras mover el coche. Personal muy amable en general. La zona con mucho ambiente de familias por las noches ,hay una pequeña feria y puestecillos y bastantes sitios de restauración para cenar o tomar un helado dando un paseo. La playa nos encantó!
The water park overcrowding in the afternoons, I would have preferred q was for the exclusive use of hotel guests as you pay a price more than high for the reservation Also the material of inflatable Donuts and mats is very fair, missing more quantity. They do not have control with people who break the rules of use of the aquatic diaper, two days they closed the pool for this issue. The maintenance of the bathrooms is not up to the standards of a 4 star hotel, they need an urgent facelift. The rooms are a bit small, in my case two adults and two children, if the children had been older we would have been uncomfortable. I would have liked more activities in the mini-club, although the truth is that with the water park they were very entertained. That every day from 8 to 8:20 the gardener was put with the leaf blower under the rooms, I understand that you have to do it in less hot hours, but being on vacation is not pleasant to wake up with that noise. The cleaning could be thorough, they go with little time as there are many rooms and few staff, but in a 4 star hotel I think they should make more effort in this aspect, the day of arrival there were hairs on the walls of the bathroom stuck that give a bad image upon arrival.The bathtub could have been cleaner too.
La masificación del parque acuático por las tardes,hubiese preferido q fuese de uso exclusivo de clientes del hotel ya que pagas un precio más que alto por la reserva Además el material de Donuts hinchables y esterillas va muy justo,faltaría mas cantidad . Que no lleven control con la gente que se salta las normas de uso del pañal acuático,dos días cerraron la piscina por este tema. El mantenimiento de los baños no está a la altura de un hotel de 4 estrellas,necesitan un lavado de cara urgente. Las habitaciones un pelín pequeñas,en mi caso dos adultos y dos niños, si los niños hubiesen sido mas mayores hubiésemos estado incómodos Me hubiera gustado más actividades en el miniclub, aunque la verdad con el parque acuático estaban muy entretenidos. Que todos los días se 8 a 8:20 el jardinero se pusiera con el soplador de hojas bajo las habitaciones,entiendo que hay que hacerlo en horas de menos calor,pero estando se vacaciones no es agradable el despertar con ese ruido. La limpieza podía ser a fondo,van con poco tiempo ya que son muchas habitaciones y poco personal,pero en un 4 estrellas creo q se deberían de esforzar más en este aspecto,el día de la llegada había pelos en las paredes del baño pegados que dan mala imagen nada mas llegar.La bañera podría haber estado más limpia también.

 9.4 Raquel July 2024 Expectations exceeded by far! Hotel totally designed for families with children. The staff at the aquapark is 10. The van that takes you up and down to the beach, there is no money to pay for it. The entertainment team, amazing, with many activities for kids and families.Cariñosos to more than power and super involved.Lo best of all. Decent and varied buffet. Quiet area for walking, with lots of green for the kids, especially the park of the lakes.
Expectativas superadas con creces!Hotel totalmente pensado para familias con niños. Personal del aquapark de 10. La furgo que te baja y te sube a la playa,no hay dinero que lo pague. El equipo de animación,increíble ,con muchas actividades para los peques y las familias.Cariñosos a más no poder y súper implicados.Lo mejor de todo. Bufet bastante decente y variado. Zona tranquila para pasear,con muuuucho verde para los peques,especialmente el parque de los lagos.

 6.9 Daniel Travelled with family July 2024 Hotel with tight size, little garden area, the water park is saved. The food was very repetitive, the barbecue dinner was better.
Hotel con tamaño ajustado, poca zona ajardinada, se salva el parque acuático. La comida muy repetitiva, mejor la cena con la barbacoa.
Rooms with poor quality, little or no soundproofing, we had to ask for a change because of the elevator noises, the terrace table was broken and the bed and pillows were in bad condition, a shame.
Habitaciones con poca calidad, poco o nada insonorizadas, tuvimos que pedir un cambio por los ruidos del ascensor, la mesa de la terraza estaba rota y la cama y las almohadas estaban en mal estado, una pena.
