  • Francesc Macià Park: the land of giants
    Malgrat is home to one of Catalonia’s most original parks. In Parc de Francesc Macià, everything is oversized: giant pencils, erasers as big as cars and huge sculptures of cakes and sweets. Adults feel tiny, children feel like they’ve stepped into a fairy tale.

    Malgrat marks the border between Barcelona and Girona provinces. After recent storms, the mouth of the Tordera River transformed into a new lagoon, now attracting flamingos and migratory birds never seen here before.

very noisy there is no soundproofing in the rooms. hear the neighbors absolutely everything. there is a disco in the hotel, music is played all night until morning. it is impossible to rest at night. we didn't sleep for 7 nights. the hotel is completely aimed at young people. I do not recommend for families with children.

The beach in front of the hotel, although it was conveniently close, wasn’t great for us. It gets deep as soon as you go in and the sand is medium to coarse, which makes it harder to have fun when you’re with an 8-year-old child.
