The mystery behind the name (water that isn’t salty)
It’s called Aguadulce because fresh water springs emerge right by the seashore. In the past, sailors took advantage of these natural filtrations from the Sierra de Gádor to refill their drinking water supplies without having to sail far from the coast. -

Pet Policy
This accommodation allows pets with the following conditions:

We stayed with only bed and breakfast. Room and hotel is clean. Did not use the pool or other facilities. The breakfast itself is fine
However the breakfast room it is not a Nice place to easy enjoy your breakfast. It is loud and crowded. It is my personal experience that I did not like this. Next time I would book without breakfast.

The restaurant definitely needs improving: everything is of very poor quality. And some things are sheer neglect. I understand costs must be cut, but a tasty paella can be made cheaply without using that nasty frozen stuff. Fried dishes can be properly fried, without that disgusting excess of oil. Even the cream in the pastries was horrible. The cakes — all bad, really bad. You can't serve custard that tastes burnt, or a potato salad with hard potatoes. A cheese sauce for pasta that was completely sweet. These are things you don't understand, because you can offer cheap food that still tastes good.

Pero una paella sabrosa se puede hacer muy barata, prescindiendo del congelado guarro. Los fritos se pueden freír bien, sin ese exceso asqueroso de aceite. Es que hasta la crema de la bollería era asquerosa. Los pasteles, todo malo, malo. No se pueden servir unas natillas que saben a quemado. O una ensalada de patata con la patata dura. The rooms are very old and run-down and the cleanliness was questionable; we found a shoe under the bed that wasn’t ours. The air conditioning didn’t work for the whole stay despite notifying staff. The food was quite repetitive and for intolerances — coeliac disease in our case — the staff were very poorly trained and unhelpful. At breakfast I asked what the options were and was told it was what they had put out for everyone, that there was nothing with flour. They gave me a small, hard bun and a couple of packets of biscuits with no indication that they were gluten-free. I had to ask a third time and they gave me two muffins, which were at least labelled.

Un mes antes de llegar solicite ducha en la habitación por un problema físico de la persona que me acompañaba y al llegar me indican que no hay habitaciones libres con ducha, una vergüenza.

La ubicación, frente a la playa de Aguadulce, habitación amplia, vistas muy bonitas al mar, cercanía a Almería capital para hacer visitas, tres ascensores rápidos, personal muy agradable y simpático, colchones aceptables.
The food is fairly basic and average in quality; don’t expect what you’d get in other four-star hotels — there’s little variety and the quality is low-medium, although the value for money was acceptable. The hotel is a bit run-down; the bathrooms had been renovated with showers but you can tell it had better days. The pillows were very bad. There was a lot of noise from a beach bar right opposite on the beach, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
